چکیده

Given an undirected edge-weighted network in which one edge capacity is allowed to vary, we propose in this paper a polynomial algorithm that needs only two 2-cuttrees computations to provide the all pairs maximum 2-route flow values. Moreover, we provide an extension to the case where k edge capacities may vary, and show that 2k 2-cut-trees computations are necessary in order to determine the all pairs maximum 2-route-flow values. This makes our algorithm polynomial whenever k = O(polylog n).

User-based Vehicle Route Guidance in Urban Networks Based on Intelligent Multi Agents Systems and the ANT-Q Algorithm

Guiding vehicles to their destination under dynamic traffic conditions is an important topic in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Nowadays, many complex systems can be controlled by using multi agent systems. Adaptation with the current condition is an important feature of the agents. In this research, formulation of dynamic guidance for vehicles has been investigated based...

Multiroute flows: Cut-trees and realizability

In the context of q-route flows in an undirected network with non-negative edge capacities, for integer values of q 2, we consider two problems of both theoretical and practical interest. The first problem focuses on investigating the existence and construction of a cut-tree. For q = 2, we show that a cut-tree always exists and can be constructed in strongly polynomial time. However, for q 3, i...

Effects of integrating physical and financial flows through a closed-loop supply chain network under uncertain demand and return

The impact of financial challenges on the profit of a supply chain, have caused the researcher to model the supply chain network by considering the operational and financial dimensions. Also, the establishment of a closed loop supply chain (CLSC) network has a high effect on economic profit. So, the purpose of this study is to design a stochastic closed loop supply chain network by considering ...

Modeling of Partial Digest Problem as a Network flows problem

Restriction Site Mapping is one of the interesting tasks in Computational Biology. A DNA strand can be thought of as a string on the letters A, T, C, and G. When a particular restriction enzyme is added to a DNA solution, the DNA is cut at particular restriction sites. The goal of the restriction site mapping is to determine the location of every site for a given enzyme. In partial digest metho...
